Established in 2026 under the IEEE Bhubaneswar Section, our Student Branch Chapter at Parala Maharaja Engineering College (PMEC) is a gateway for students into the semiconductor industry.
The IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) is a global association focused on electron and solid-state devices, microelectronics, and integrated circuits. At PMEC, we are committed to building a solid foundation in VLSI, device physics, and embedded hardware, preparing students for research frontiers and industrial design careers.

Field of Interest
Spans electron and ion-based devices, in classical or quantum states, using environments/materials in lowest to highest conducting phases, in simple or engineered assemblies, delivering photo-electronic, electro-magnetic, electromechanical, electro-thermal, and bio-electronic signals.

IEEE Edge AI Hackathon 2026
THEME: INNOVATE • IMPLEMENT • IMPACTIndia's premier hardware-centric embedded AI design challenge has successfully concluded at Parala Maharaja Engineering College. Organized by the IEEE EDS PMEC Student Branch Chapter, IEEE CEDA, and the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, with hosting partner Unstop and principal sponsorship from AMD, alongside Renesas, Microchip, and IEEE Bhubaneswar Section.
